A study pack for the General Directory for Catechesis
Prepared by the Bishops' Committee for Catechesis and Adult Christian Education.
In 1997, the Congregation for the Clergy in Rome published the General Directory for Catechesis, a remarkable document that deserves to reach as wide an audience as possible.
This study guide offers a framework for exploring the Directory by highlighting some of the Directory's key themes. It is packaged in eighteen sessions which can be used in a variety of ways, not only by experienced catechists but also by seminarians, parish pastoral councils, all those in parish ministry and those training for the ministry of catechist. Gift Destined to Grow offers a way of becoming familiar with the Church's guidance for its mission to proclaim and tell the gospel.
